4 become 1: New entity COMPAREX Nordics is formed to boost service proposition in the region

As of April 1st, the four COMPAREX subsidiaries in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden have been acting as one entity, named COMPAREX Nordics. In doing so, COMPAREX is expanding the subsidiaries’ service proposition, with good prospects in the Finnish and Norwegian markets in particular. At the heart of the new set-up stands a central Nordic services team, which will make global COMPAREX offerings such as SAM, Portfolio Management Platform and Unified Cloud Management available to all customers in the region. Streamlined delivery processes will guarantee a quicker and more effective service.

Reorganization of the Management Board of COMPAREX AG, Dr. Thomas Reich will take over the position of the Chairman of the Board

This week the Supervisory Board of COMPAREX AG unanimously decided to reorganize the Management Board. Dr. Thomas Reich will take over the position of the Chairman of the Board (CEO). Marc Betgem will continue in his office as Chief Sales Officer (CSO). The former Supervisory Board Chairman Wilhelm Doupnik will transfer into the Management Board as Chief Operations Officer (COO). In addition, Thomas Bargetzi will support the Management Board as Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) starting in January 2018. The former CEO Wilfried Pruschak leaves the company in mutual agreement with the Supervisory Board. The former deputy Michael Kafesie will take over the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board

COMPAREX Group takes over Korean software licensing and IT-consulting expert BUYSOFT Inc.

COMPAREX Group, executing on its geographical growth strategy, has acquired a majority share in Korean software licensing and IT-consulting expert BUYSOFT Inc. The transaction is complete as of August 12 following the approval of authorities. It widens the reach of COMPAREX in Asia, which includes subsidiaries in China, India, Indonesia and Singapore. It is the first acquisition between a multinational corporation and a local firm in the field of software licensing and IT consulting industry in Korea.

As part of its strategic international growth the COMPAREX Group has partnered with 2S, a Brazilian Systems Integrator and Microsoft LSP, agreeing to acquire 60% of their Microsoft solutions business unit. The acquisition agreement was signed yesterday. Branded COMPAREX Brasil the acquired unit will operate as independent legal entity integrated into the COMPAREX Group. Brazil is the 30th country where COMPAREX operates subsidiaries and marks the first step of their expansion plan in South America. COMPAREX Brasil will provide solutions for software management, services and procurement.

COMPAREX Acquires Indian Software and Services Expert IRIS Unified Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

The COMPAREX Group has taken another strategic step forward in pursuit of its international growth strategy by acquiring Indian software consulting and technology services specialist IRIS Unified Technologies Pvt. Ltd. The acquisition, closed on October 14th, follows the foundation by COMPAREX of an Indian subsidiary in Delhi earlier this year as part of its expansion in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. It is planned that IRIS will operate under the COMPAREX brand. The new company will focus on leveraging the significant potential of the Indian market for the COMPAREX Group. IRIS Managing Director Navin Kapur and his leadership team will continue to head the merged Indian organization with more than 70 employees.
