The term of the agreement is three years. All software licenses are offered together with Software Assurance. Price levels are dependent on the number of qualified desktops or users in the company.

Enterprise Agreement Enrollment (EA)
When signing the agreement, the customer has to define the number of qualified desktops or users and the desired Microsoft Enterprise products or Enterprise Online Services and communicate it to Microsoft. This information represents the initial purchase. Each anniversary, a collective order (True Up order) for additional qualified desktops or users is due on the basis of which the total costs for the previous year will be calculated. In the framework of a traditional on premise Microsoft Enterprise Agreement the customer is allowed to license Enterprise products individually or as a standard platform. However, at least one Enterprise product has to be standardized throughout the whole company.
Alternatively, the customer can sign a pure Enterprise Online Services (EDOS) agreement with Microsoft. This option does not require company-wide standardization. The customer has to purchase at least 500 Enterprise Online Services licenses.
Enterprise Agreement Subscription (EAS)
An Enterprise Agreement Subscription is also based on the EA and offers the possibility to lease on premise licenses instead of purchasing them. This might provide customers with fiscal advantages. The price levels are the same as those of the normal EA.
In a three year term agreement, the number of qualified desktops and users can be adjusted every agreement anniversary. This allows more flexibility in order to meet changing requirements. Rights of use are limited and end with the expiration of the agreement.

Enrollment for Dedicated Online Services (EDOS)
The EDOS program is ideal for large companies and government organization with more than 5,000 users. In the framework of an EA customers can subscribe to Microsoft Online Services such as Microsoft Exchange Online, SharePoint Online and Lync Online. Services do not have to be licensed company-wide but may be booked additionally for each user. The customer licenses either the standard or enterprise edition of every service. The EDOS term is three years and is bound by an EA.
Server and Cloud Enrollment (SCE)
Microsoft’s SCE program is a licensing program for standardizing Microsoft server products and enables customers to combine these with online services. It has replaced the existing EAP and ECI programs as of February 1st 2014. SCE offers 4 components: Core Infrastructure, Application Platform, Developer Platform and Microsoft Azure. These programs might offer price advantages compared to the Enterprise Agreement. When opting for one of the first three components customers receive access to Microsoft Azure at the best possible terms.
The minimum order depends on the product:
With participating in the SCE program the customer is obligated to standardize one or more components throughout the entire company. Therefore the customer needs to purchase Software Assurance for all existing/installed licenses of an SCE component. For System Center the customer has to purchase the complete System Center coverage for the installed Windows Server base by the Core Infrastructure Suites (CIS).
