Licensing

Manage features like Data Loss Prevention, Office 365 groups and many more with the online-based Exchange Admin Center. Thanks to Exchange archiving, large inboxes and the integration of storage policies you stay in control of your storage needs and compliance requirements.

Exchange Online is licensed as a User Subscription License (USL). There are two Exchange Online Plans, Plan 1 and Plan 2. Plan 2 includes more advanced features than Plan 1 (for details, please see below).  

As part of an Office 365 plan, Exchange Online Plan 1 is included in Office 365 Business Essentials, Business Premium and Enterprise E1. Exchange Online Plan 2 is included in Office 365 Enterprise E3 and E5. Exchange Online Plan 1 and 2 are available through the following Volume Licensing Programs:  

  • Open License, Open Value, Open Value Subscription 

  • Microsoft Products and Services Agreement (MPSA) 

  • Enterprise Agreement (EA) and Enterprise Agreement Subscription (EAS) 

  • Enrollment for Education Solutions (EES).
