Microsoft Project Online

The new thing about the new Project Online is that now it is available either as on-premise version or in the Cloud. Equivalently to Office 365, the Project licensing model in the Cloud is a renting model with monthly payment.

Project Server is now available in the Cloud under the name of Project Online. The conventional installation in the framework of a server-based infrastructure can be fully replaced by Project Online. Administrators and decision-makers can now provide an environment for project organization which is based on the Office 365 platform just within a few clicks. Thus, Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) comes within reach of everyone.

The client can be rented from the Cloud under the name of Project for Office 365 *. The procedure is the usual one; you download from the Cloud and install on your PC. The key word here is Click-to-run; a virtualized desktop installation.

The benefit of Project for Office 365 * is obvious; namely that your software is always up-to-date. Naturally, you can decide which version you want to use and of course you can make your own settings. Additionally, you can stream Project from a computer of your choice at any time. You profit from a simple installation, flexible settings and the integration into other Office 365 products such as Lync or SharePoint.
