Semi-Annual Channel Releases: System Center 1801 is now available
Leipzig, 05/23/2018 – 1801 stands for the first half-year release of 2018: 01 in 18. The idea behind this is that more frequent biannual updates should make it easier for customers to remain technologically in tune with the times. According to Microsoft, Linux Monitoring Support will deliver more efficient VMware backup, additional support for Windows Server, as well as improved performance and usability in the case of System Center 1801. Scheduled support for the biannual release will be available for 18 months.
Improvements to System Center Operations Manager, Virtual Machine Manager, and Data Protection Manager are the focus for System Center Version 1801. Security and bug fixes, as well as support for TLS 1.2, will be available for all System Center components such as Orchestrator, Service Management Automation, and Service Manager.
New: Global Data Management with Microsoft Multi-Geo for Office 365

Microsoft Announces Windows Server 2019 Will be Available Soon
Leipzig, 05/23/2018 – "Windows Server 2019 will be generally available in the second half of calendar year 2018." This is what the Microsoft Director for the Windows Server Program, Erin Chapple, announced in her blog post ‘Introducing Windows Server 2019 – now available in preview.’ The new version will be based on Windows Server 2016, and be suitable for most infrastructure scenarios, including workloads such as Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft SharePoint. Windows 10 v1511 Support End Extended
Leipzig, 01/15/2018 – Microsoft had announced the date for the end of support for Windows 10 v1511 as 10 October 2017.
Since, however, according to Microsoft not all companies have implemented their transition to Windows as a Service, Microsoft has decided to extend the support for Windows 10 v1511 another six months, or until April 2018.
Therefore, further updates for critical and important security measures will be made available until April 2018. These updates are available to all users of Windows 10 Enterprise, Version 1511 or Windows 10 Education, Version 1511. The updates are offered through all channels, including Windows Update, WSUS, Configuration Manager and the Windows Update Catalog.
