Microsoft Project 2016

Use the new Project 2016 to organize and keep track of your projects. Profit from flexible features, which make it easy to get started and to work efficiently and productively. Create sound reports about project progress and forward project details efficiently to your team and anyone else involved in the project. Project 2016 has all the features you already know for easy project management plus several improvements and new features.

Project 2016 significantly improves Resource Management and Resource Capacity Planning. Supporting these key capabilities are enhancements such as new Resource Engagements (only Professional edition*), a brand new experience for resource managers, and Capacity heat maps.

* Important: Resource engagements only work if you are using Project Professional 2016 or Project Online Professional, connected to Project Online. If you are not connected to Project Online, the resource engagements functionality will be hidden from view. Project Standard 2016 does not include resource engagements.

What’s new in Project 2016?

Project 2016 does not only allow you to use several time lines to visualize different phases or categories of work, you can also choose the start and end dates separately for every time line in order to have a clear overview about all project-related work.

Some resources have limited availability, and may have their time scheduled by a resource manager. With Project Professional 2016 and  Project Online, project managers and resource managers can negotiate an agreement, called a resource engagement, to make sure that resources are being used appropriately and effectively throughout your organization.

Predicting changes has never been easier thanks to tools that show future daily workloads required for your projects and the consequences they will have on allocated resources. Increase efficiency by summarizing daily work, project events, important details and different timelines in one feature-rich and context-related interface.
