Job purpose

The Leader “Global Resource Management & Consulting Cloud” covers the areas of the internal global Consulting Group and the internal and external Resource Management. The leader reports to the Manager “Global Consulting”. If you are enthusiastic about a versatile and challenging working field in an international environment and a very experienced Manager, then we are looking for you!

As a member of the Global Consulting team, you are overall responsible for the success of our IT projects by supporting the Service Line Manager to optimal staff their projects for all countries. The Resource Management team builds up and maintains the skill and consultant database of external consultants and partners. The team supports all service lines with consulting power for projects and services where there is a lack of skills or work force. It is responsible for finding new partners, negotiating the contracts with them, and monitoring their delivery and performance.

In addition, part of your responsibility is to build and lead a team of highly skilled consultants who are willing to travel and stay abroad on longer term. With this internal global Consulting Group, we will fulfill worldwide demands for staffing local squads on a medium-term basis. This will enable our country organizations to build up the appropriate service teams (squads) in a smooth and fast way. Short term, however our focus is on supporting the squads with special skills, which are not feasible to hire locally
from a commercial perspective. The leader of this unit will be responsible for ensuring full utilization of the Consulting Group.

At the start of the job the Global team has to be build, and you have influence on the structure and way of working. Also supporting the Partner Manager in the development of the partner base consisting of IT system houses and IT personnel service providers. Good business understanding and experience in the IT industry complete your profile.

Responsibilities / Your area of work

  • Global Resource Management:
    • Setting up an Global Resource Management department which covers all necessary time zones
    • and provides the countries and Service Lines with the right skilled consultants (internal or external)
    • Create a highly efficiently process to serve the internal client within agreed SLA times
    • Manage the large escalations within the team
  • Consulting Cloud:
    • Setting up an Global team of consultants for all Service Lines who are willing to work in several countries for a longer period of time
    • Create a highly efficiently process to serve the internal client within agreed SLA times
  • Partner Management:
    • Support the partner manager in difficult challenges coming up in this role
    • Negotiate in particular situations with a partner in close cooperation with the partner manager
    • Coaches the partner manager in the partner performance process
  • Reporting:
    • Monitors and reports on partner performance, budget status, escalations, availability of resources and other KPI’s to be defined

Selection criteria

Knowledge and skills that you should bring with you:

  • Bachelor degree or higher education
  • Experience in the service business of the IT industry
  • Proven experience in managing a multidisciplinary team
  • Fluent in English spoken and written
  • Advantage if you have thorough experience with Resource Management
  • Experienced in negotiating contracts with partners
  • Ability to work in a team, good communicative skills, self-reliant and independently working,
  • initiative, flexibility
