York, 18.05.2017 – COMPAREX, a global IT provider specialising in licence management, sourcing, technical product consulting and cloud-based professional services, today announced that it has been appointed by Liverpool City Council to supply software and services via its ICT Procurement Framework.
York, 21.05.2015 – Global IT licence and services provider COMPAREX has successfully achieved a place on the new Crown Commercial Service RM1058 Technology Services framework. The framework enables COMPAREX to offer public sector bodies a range of services including support, network and content se-curity, audit services, asset management, infrastructure and platform support and maintenance.
Leipzig, 05.04.2018 – As of April 1st, the four COMPAREX subsidiaries in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden have been acting as one entity, named COMPAREX Nordics. In doing so, COMPAREX is expanding the subsidiaries’ service proposition, with good prospects in the Finnish and Norwegian markets in particular. At the heart of the new set-up stands a central Nordic services team, which will make global COMPAREX offerings such as SAM, Portfolio Management Platform and Unified Cloud Management available to all customers in the region. Streamlined delivery processes will guarantee a quicker and more effective service.
Leipzig / Vienna, 16.11.2017 – This week the Supervisory Board of COMPAREX AG unanimously decided to reorganize the Management Board. Dr. Thomas Reich will take over the position of the Chairman of the Board (CEO). Marc Betgem will continue in his office as Chief Sales Officer (CSO). The former Supervisory Board Chairman Wilhelm Doupnik will transfer into the Management Board as Chief Operations Officer (COO). In addition, Thomas Bargetzi will support the Management Board as Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) starting in January 2018. The former CEO Wilfried Pruschak leaves the company in mutual agreement with the Supervisory Board. The former deputy Michael Kafesie will take over the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Leipzig, 09.06.2017 – COMPAREX announced that it has won a VMware 2016 Global Partner Innovation Award in the Marketing Category, and two VMware Partner Innovation Awards for EMEA in the Marketing and Renewals categories. COMPAREX was recognized at the VMware Partner Leadership Summit 2017, held in Ranchos Palos Verdes, California.
Leipzig, 17.10.2016 – Microsoft has welcomed the global COMPAREX Group into the circle of selected indirect Cloud Solution Provider (CSP). As of today, COMPAREX will act as one of few key CSP distributors for resellers in the EU and EFTA. The company has qualified for this leading role due to its geographical coverage, fully automated billing processes and a superb reputation in software services and license competence.
Leipzig, 26.09.2016 – With immediate effect, Maarten van Montfoort takes over the role of the Executive Vice President of Northwest Europe within the COMPAREX Group. As agreed by the COMPAREX management board he will be responsible for a newly established region encompassing The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, the United Kingdom and the Nordics (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland). As a founder and previous general manager of Agile Software and InfraControl, two companies COMPAREX acquired in 2013, he had managed the integration process of the two companies into the COMPAREX Group. The process was completed in April earlier this year.
Leipzig, 16.08.2016 – COMPAREX Group, executing on its geographical growth strategy, has acquired a majority share in Korean software licensing and IT-consulting expert BUYSOFT Inc. The transaction is complete as of August 12 following the approval of authorities. It widens the reach of COMPAREX in Asia, which includes subsidiaries in China, India, Indonesia and Singapore. It is the first acquisition between a multinational corporation and a local firm in the field of software licensing and IT consulting industry in Korea.
Leipzig, 14.07.2016 – The Supervisory Board of COMPAREX AG has unanimously appointed Marc Betgem as the Chief Sales Officer effective as of July 1st. Marc Betgem, a native of the Netherlands, has been working for 17 years in various management roles within the COMPAREX Group. In his recent capacity as Executive Vice President, he led the BeNeLux and South Africa region to great success.

Leipzig, 19.10.2015 – In the course of its geographical growth and portfolio strategy the international COMPAREX Group has acquired a majority share of Turkish Dataserv Information Technologies Inc. (Dataserv). The acquisition follows the foundation of a subsidiary in Istanbul earlier this year as part of COMPAREX’s expansion in the EMEA region. Established in 1997, Dataserv is a fixture at the Turkish IT solution market. As a pioneer in delivering software licensing and cloud services it is a perfect fit for COMPAREX’s Turkish SoftCare offering.
Leipzig, 05.10.2015 – The international IT services company COMPAREX has taken over 100% of Germany’s SAM technology leader amando software GmbH as part of the ongoing development in its SoftCare offer within software license management. Drawing on 20 years of experience, amando software is numbered among Europe’s most successful providers of software solutions and services for software asset management. By taking over the company, COMPAREX is seeking to continue development of its SAM solution SAM2GO, while significantly expanding its team of SAM consultants and developers.

Leipzig, 30.10.2014 – Acquisition of CloudBearing positions COMPAREX to provide industry recognized Microsoft O365 and Azure deployment Services. The international IT service provider COMPAREX today announced the acquisition of CloudBearing, Inc. The acquisition provides COMPAREX with the ability to deploy and manage Microsoft O365 and Azure throughout the United States.
Leipzig, 22.05.2014 – As part of its strategic international growth plan, the global IT service provider COMPAREX has acquired the leading Mexican IT firm PERIFEL. This acquisition opens the Latin American market to the COMPAREX Group, which is now operating subsidiaries in 31 countries. The acquisition agreement with PERIFEL was signed yesterday. The Mexican organization, employing more than 70 professionals, will continue to operate under the existing management and established brand, PERIFEL.
Leipzig, 06.05.2014 – As part of its strategic international growth the COMPAREX Group has partnered with 2S, a Brazilian Systems Integrator and Microsoft LSP, agreeing to acquire 60% of their Microsoft solutions business unit. The acquisition agreement was signed yesterday. Branded COMPAREX Brasil the acquired unit will operate as independent legal entity integrated into the COMPAREX Group. Brazil is the 30th country where COMPAREX operates subsidiaries and marks the first step of their expansion plan in South America. COMPAREX Brasil will provide solutions for software management, services and procurement.

Leipzig, 14.05.2013 – Having already established successful operations in Europe, Asia, and Africa, the COMPAREX Group – one of the leading IT service providers in the area of software licensing and license management – will now also develop the North American market with its newly established subsidiary COMPAREX USA. A team with experience in the local IT market and under the management of John Havlick, Executive Vice President of COMPAREX has commenced business operations as of February. The goal of COMPAREX USA is to directly support its existing corporate customers in the world's largest IT market.
Leipzig, 29.04.2013 – The Swedish company Vattenfall AB has awarded the contract for procurement of its software to the COMPAREX Group. Positioning itself as a ‘value-added reseller’, the Leipzig-based IT company also outpaced the competition with its software asset management solution in a Europe-wide tender. COMPAREX will therefore also advise Vattenfall on matters of software license management; the objective will be to cut costs in compliance with licenses already in place.
Amsterdam, 22.03.2013 – COMPAREX, international provider of IT services in the fields of software licensing and licence management, has strengthened its position in the Dutch market with the acquisition of Agile Software and InfraControl. Both companies are currently part of the Dutch Solimas Group and will continue their activities under their own brand name. They will remain located in the city of Alphen aan den Rijn.
Leipzig, 03.09.2012 – Changes at the helm of COMPAREX: Hansjörg Egger takes over as CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of COMPAREX AG with effect from 1. September 2012. He has been responsible for the operational business of the global IT services company since 2009 as its COO (Chief Operating Officer). In his new role, Egger will pursue the goal of sustainable growth by focusing on the company’s core strengths. Leipzig, 18.10.2011 – The COMPAREX Group has taken another strategic step forward in pursuit of its international growth strategy by acquiring Indian software consulting and technology services specialist IRIS Unified Technologies Pvt. Ltd. The acquisition, closed on October 14th, follows the foundation by COMPAREX of an Indian subsidiary in Delhi earlier this year as part of its expansion in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. It is planned that IRIS will operate under the COMPAREX brand. The new company will focus on leveraging the significant potential of the Indian market for the COMPAREX Group. IRIS Managing Director Navin Kapur and his leadership team will continue to head the merged Indian organization with more than 70 employees.
Leipzig, 25.05.2011 – CA Technologies has honoured IT service provider COMPAREX, formerly known as PC-WARE, as LAR Partner of the Year FY 2011.
